| I
was born in 1958 in Woodstock, Illinois. My father had been in the
flower business since 1947 when he worked for a florist and then a
wholesaler in the Chicago area. We migrated to California in 1968, as my
parents got sick of shoveling snow and had a job offer with Thornton
Flower Growers and thereafter with Thompson Rose Company. I would go to
work on the weekends with my father in Illinois and California and had
summer jobs and holiday jobs making boxes, building rose beds, pouring
concrete aisle ways as well as sleeving poms and packing flower boxes.
Eventually, I started in the flower business fulltime in 1979 as a
warehouse manager/local sales rep. My career was in sales until 1988
when I jumped into a sales managers role with Brothers Floral and
Sun Valley Floral. I have seen many changes and watched California
overcome many obstacles over the years. It is obvious that the breed of
surviving California growers will be one that understands expenses,
controlled production and customer service. There is never a dull day in
the flower business and the people we rub elbows with daily keep it
exciting, rewarding and coming back for more....it would be awfully
boring if it were not for the many varied personalities that we have all
met and been friends with and can share many, many stories about. We hope you will choose a partner for your future needs that is willing to grow with you and one that can vary their plans to include your needs, we hope you will join the new B&H FLOWERS team ! |

| I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and immigrated to the United States 27 years ago and have lived in Carpinteria ever since. My husband and I and have been a part of the B&H Flowers team for over 18 years and have enjoyed it. Alberto is the Carpinteria greenhouse manager and I’ve been in the sales dept since I was 18 years old. I enjoy talking with all my customers and make customer service a priority. My husband and I have raised 3 beautiful children, Daisy 19 years old, Tania 13 and Alberto Manuel 6. Tania and Alberto M. have followed their older sister’s lead in raising farm animals and have even talked about joining the Carpinteria High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) program, which has been supported by B&H Flowers. In my spare time I love to read. My husband and I volunteer in several community activities that keep us very busy. Please do not hesitate to call me and let me know how I can help serve you better. | |

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara,
California and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1996 with a
B.S. in Agricultural Business. I worked for a kiwi and fig grower and then
a local orchid nursery before coming to B & H Flowers in October
1999. I love that each day at B & H is different, with fresh products,
new challenges, all in a casual and fun environment.
I live in Santa Barbara with my husband
Jason, our son Dylan, and our boxer
named Rocky. I enjoy doing yoga,
swimming, gardening, and
cooking, but I also listen to hard rock and reggae and love going to
concerts and the beach! My favorite shows are "Miami Ink," "My Name Is
Earl" and "House" and my favorite movie is ALL THE HARRY
POTTER MOVIES!
If you are ever in the
neighborhood, please stop by and say hi.
Let me know if there is any way I can help serve you better and I will
do my best to make things happen! |
